Protection of personal data included in your occurrence report
 
 
 

Data contained in occurrence reports sent by an organisation or an individual to a Member State or to EASA is protected in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 376/2014 on the reporting, analysis and follow up of occurrences in civil aviation.

In particular Member States and EASA are not allowed to record personal details (names, contact details) in their databases. 

Furthermore, they are required to take the necessary measures to ensure the appropriate confidentiality of occurrences they collect and to comply with rules on the processing of personal data i.e. national legal acts implementing Directive 95/46/EC and in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 45/2001.

Regulation (EU) No 376/2014 also contains a number of provisions limiting the possibility to disclose and use information contained in occurrence reports. These provisions are presented and explained in the Guidance Material.
